Problem: Truwex produces an error on attempt to scan a web page, but web interface works.
Problem: Truwex does not check a URL, which looks like //localhost/ (no domain name extension).

Problem: Truwex produces an error on attempt to scan a web page, but web interface works.
Symptom 1: Check URL tool produces the .Net error "Server Error in '/Truwex' Application. No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it".
Symptom 2: After running the scan job Truwex generates an error on Scanner > Active Jobs page. "Truwex service not available. Error: "No connection could be made, because the target machine actively refused it"
The error text could in your system local language.
Reason: Truwex service does not start.
Solution: Start Truwex service.
Variant 1: Reboot the system
Variant 2: Go to Administrative Tools (via Windows Start menu or Control Panel), Services, find Truwex service and start it. Make sure Truwex service is in the automatic startup mode.
Problem: Truwex does not check a URL, which looks like //localhost/ (no domain name extension).
Reason: This is a known bug for a version 2.0.
Solution: Use IP address. For example http://192.168.1.10/. For localhost use 127.0.00.1 (two zeros somewhere!).
How to: Set a proxy server
Solution: Truwex uses a real Internet Explorer browser to scan web page. Therefore proxy server can be configured just the same way as for IE. Truwex uses its own user account in Windows to operate. Log to Truwex account (username and password are published on the last installation step). Open Internet Options via control panel or from IE Tools menu, switch to Connections tab. Set proxy by pressing LAN settings button, or by selecting an internet connection and pressing settings.
How to: View the Map (graphical) reports after regular website scans.
Solution: The Map report is not produced during website scans. However it can be generated on demand on any scanned web page at any time. After finishing a scan job open website report on Pages tab. Go to web page properties, they are linked by ? ("PI") symbol to website reports. Switch to Map tab and press "Generate Map" button. Truwex checks the page with scan settings defined for this website.
